Visited with Tcake as ever, was passing y one the way elsewhere so stopped in for a look around. We where both underwhelmed i think with this place, it would have been better to see a while ago, based on others reports. Still would have been rude not to take a look , a wonderful highlight for us a pigeon (evil thing) smashing a window kamikazee style while we where on the top floor. the other curious thig was the basement level with lots of cr*p it , but protected by a PIR...bizzarre for sure . Dint take many pics , but though i would share the few i took

Whetley Mills were established by Alfred and Henry Illingworth in July 1865. The mills were designed by the Bradfordian architects Milnes & France and were built to accomodate the rapidly growing worsted spinning business of Daniel Illingworth and Sons. By the 1890s the mill complex was the largest in Bradford and employed around 1000 people.

If anyone wants to see this mill in it's former glory you should watch the fantastic film 'Life at the Top' (1965) with Laurence Harvey, Donald Wolfit and Honor Blackman starring. The film shows the mill inside and out. It also contains some great scenes across Bradford.
