Report - Whitchurch Hospital, Cardiff - Feb 2019

Had a trip through South Wales this weekend and visited the An abandoned Hospital opened in April 1908. The main hospital building covered 5 acres designed to accommodate 750 patients across 10 wards, 5 each for men and women. Like many Victorian institutes, It finally closed its doors in Oct 2016 not many idiots have been in yet so worth the trip before they do asap.
I have only got round about a third and was there around 4 hours had to go as it was getting dark. Going back in the next few week.

I'm impressed it seems to have remained pretty clean despite the recent foot fall through the place. Some nice photos there though id have ditched the few that are blurred/unfocused. Less is more

The place had really started to go down hill for a while, the local kids were in smashing things up, etc. and it seems to have really improved since they cleared everything out.

When they cleared it they littereally swept the floors. It was spotless. It’s rapidly going back to the summer fuckedness again tho - hall is already a mess with paint and fire extinguishers thrown through at the walls

I'm actually really glad it has decent on the ball security. It's such a beautiful building and quite rightly needs protection.

Yeah security is dotted around the site, sometimes in rather unsuspecting places. You could be in for a surprise if you don't know where

They're also Yard Dogs now, as they're in an enclosed/fenced space. I.E they're off the fucking chain.
