Been trying to get in this place for over a year and always had security, however after hearing the company that bought the building and was getting work done to it has gone into administration we hoped this would be our chance.

Did it pretty late at night, not being able to get out on weekends due to work commitments. So trying to find any time I have, late nights it is.
Not going to go into the history of the place as it's all been posted on other reports, thought I would just share my take on the place.
Photos aren't my best as my canon sx540Hs is limited to taking shots in the dark.
The building is a bit of a shell now but the beautiful staircase and library make up for it, also some of the best decaying corridors I've seen.
Very happy with this explore and glad I finally got a chance to see it for myself.

Nice to see an update. This place would be a corker of a place if refurbished. Well done on persistence :thumb

Two miles up the road from me. Durham council should hang their heads in shame. Sold for a pittance and pra few back handers to a nut job scam artist. Place then left to ruin.

Living local it took us a number of attempts, we finally managed to get into it last year, really interesting explore, it's a shame there's not many places local of the same size to visit. Theres also a way onto the roof for some great shots if you ever get another chance. Great pics there!

Glad you got in! Beautiful place but I'll be sure to check the rooftop off when I next visit!
