The Explore.............
Following a day trip to Sheffield, visiting family, I met up with MSP (as the queue in Greggs wasn't too long.....) to do this little adventure
......the entry point was difficult but we managed in the end.
A Bit of History...........
Woollen & Co Sheffield was formed in 1883 by Edwin Woollen, a sign writer and Frederick Ibbotson a lithographic printer. Woollens dealt with bespoke signage including hand painted signage, fascia signs, free standing signs, etched plaques and nameplates, directory systems, individual cut out or built-up three dimensional letters and logos.
The site closed in 2008 after 125 years of trading, following a takeover with several former employees going on to form a new Woollens while maintaining some of the old customer base.
Now for the pics............enjoy.
I hope you liked the report, it's been a while since it was on here.............I Will Knot
