This place has been high on my to do list for a while , in many respects i was blown away with what i found and in many aspects was very saddened with what i found.
The house does have quite sad feel to the place, i have seen many photos of the place and what really saddened me was how the place had been trashed - lots of items moved or taken and a general disrespect with items strewn everywhere.
From what i can gather the lady of the house passed away in 2002 and the place has been empty ever since.
One of the ground room floors has collapsed and i think the is a cellar below but could not gain access.
Also on the upper floors you can see where the walls are parting and so this place will fall in to complete ruin quite soon.
If you do venture here - take great care on the lower level room - wont take much to fall through the floor?

Some photos on the day:

Amazing place! Isn't it sad to see a person's photos, and belongings, just left behind. I'm guessing this lady might have been quite lonely in her final years... :(

Great photos, and videos!

Does anyone know the name of this place? I've often wondered what the best thing to name these kind of places is when houses rarely have actual names.. personally in the past I've just gone for "abandoned house" :)

If you really dont know the name id except 'Abandoned House' or even a sensible nickname (not fucking 'Vanity Wank') The point is you need to include enough information to find what it is or where it is. Its not hard to post the name of the village it's in or the road it's on and if you really think it's good enough to keep a 'secret' it should go in non-public or probably not even be posted up at all.

Anyway its here https://goo.gl/maps/D8sDKvxd5f62 and the people seem to like he name Worthen Farmhouse..

I called it vanity house because thats its name belive it or not - i did not think the place was a secret as its been posted on here quite a few times and i thought its location was well known - i really dont know why your getting your knickers in a twist over such a minor thing , you really need to take a chill pill
With the greatest respect you type vanity wank after a lot of effort from me - its hardly likley i will reply is it?
I really do try to be polite to people - its not asking to much to have a little back?

Don't think the actual property is called that is it? Think its more an "urbex codename" rather than what it was called when it was occupied.

Just one of the guidelines of this group mate that codenames are not permitted.. I've struggled a few times with houses and what to name them on this forum but advice above should help with that in the future.
