Wyre Forest
Found another pool near Brum, let's hope this is a thing and I keep finding them because this was a lot of fun. Don't ever forget to leave a skateboard in your car. Went here with MR, JDotN, JonesyJones and another friend. Cheers for the lead and a sick day.
History
History is hard to find on this place but I've done my best here.
The leisure centre was opened in 1986 by Princess Diana after calls for a new leisure centre were met with a new social hub for the area. It looks as though the Glades arena was a separate extension added in 1996.
Closure was first announced in 2012 after planning permission for a new pool was sought. DC leisure extended their contract until 2016 at the latest due to the facility being outdated and unfit for use. It eventually closed in July of this year and was sheeted up over summer to prevent further vandalism and damage. Demolition is to begin soon and it's not sure what will replace the centre.

This month the council urged to get the swimming pool demolished ASAP due to calls for regeneration in the area, however, this seems to be the least of their problems if they're so worried about their town as it seems every other building has been vacant for the passed few years?
More recently this was posted: http://www.herefordtimes.com/news/r...il_fury_over_Glades_Leisure_Centre_break_ins/ Apparently a user from here broke in which likely didn't happen and if for any reason small media agencies/council jump on the bandwagon, we didn't break in either.
