A Royal Observer Corps (ROC) United Kingdom Warning and Monitoring Organisation (UKWMO) monitoring post, defunct since 1991.

As noted in a previous report the hatch is padlocked. We had a word with the farmer who was happy to let us in. She recalled that the local unit used to meet on a Wednesday night every week.

Quite a few pictures because it is in quite good nick inside. More on the PB album.

Stunning part of the world, blowing a gale and a bit nippy

Quite clean and tidy inside, nice flow of air

The paperwork inside is showing signs of damp though the post was dry inside at the time of the visit.

this is a very nice post indeed, having been to the post in 2009 I knocked on the door of the nearest house but nobody was home :(

    Thanks for all the comments.

I've contacted the farmer and asked if we can go back to look at the documents before they rot away.

Can't be many, if any, left with TT still in situ that aren't preserved. Location probably does this one a lot of favours, great stuff.
