Report - Torphichen Preceptory april 2012

    Torphichen Preceptory was the home of the Knights hospitaller ( Knights of St John) in Scotland. All the knights Templar property in Scotland was given to The order of St John in 1312 after the Templars were disolved by pope Clement V. Many Templar Knights became Hospitallers. Allegedly the Templar treasury is still unfound but within a half days walk of here.
    This building was started in the 1140's and was upgraded and altered for a few hundred years.
