Report - Winchelsea road tunnels Dover JAN 14

    I've seen many reports on these tunnels in the past and always meant to check them out, problem is I never new where they were and being side tracked with other stuff never bothered to do much research on them, I had always assumed they were somewhere they wasn't :banghead wasn't till I pm'd wevs and he sent me a map and info that the penny dropped, Winchelsea rd Dover is where my nan used to live during the war, I always remember her telling us of a set of air raid shelters near her house that she used to hide in when Dover was bombed.

    Armed with this knowledge this was suddenly an important explore for me personally.

    Below is memories of Gerald Sedgwick who's gran lived in no.6 and mum lived in no.10, my nan lived in no.4 so no doubt as neighbours they sheltered together when the boms were falling.
