Bit of a weird one this ..... had seen a few reports popping up, we were in the general vicinity (WALES) and there was time to derp some (house).... Access was errrrrr challenging? -- we got inside to find what looked like a students moving house boxes and a load of furniture piled up in the first room we came to... i am presuming someones actually rented/bought it, although i can't find any info on a sale, there were also cars parked out back, but we carried on anyway....
unfortunately someone seems to have wised up and there are fresh big daddy padlocks on most of the internal doors, so most of the building is officially locked but managed to get a few shots of what you could see, and being as there had been other more excellent derps for the day this wasn't a disappointment
a bit of shamelessly stolen backround info:-
Brogyntyn Hall has stood abandoned for 15 years. was owned by the Lord Harlech until 2000. Settled in the 1600s the house and its estate once presided over the land as far as the eye can see. The family was one of the great English dynasties and owners of Harlech Castle in North Wales as well.
Unfortunately a string of tragedies including two Lords Harlech dying without wills, leaving massive death duties to be paid, saw the decline of the family fortunes and subsequent sale of the Hall. Interestingly it was also used during the war by British Telecom as headquarters for communications for the spy network operating in Europe.
on with le pics
