I stumbled upon these buildings whilst working in the area and insisted on driving up that day for a mooch around and ended up doing it over two days to ensure i didn't miss anything.

I honestly cant find much history on this at all. It was once a cotton mill, and at one point was chopped up into many offices/businesses. It backs onto Etherow country park, i presume the closest pond once served the mills.

Whist its in quite a state, there's lots to see, and its easy to get lost and lose track of the parts already explored. There are several buildings, and i had no issue accessing any. Some notable parts are a funeral director, a large cellar, a car dealer office with lots of log books/car manuals and some creepy old portraits on one of the upper floors. It appears that somebody may be staying in one of the third floor rooms, so i left that room undisturbed. Overall i'd say its worth a visit if you're fairly local, There's nothing amazing, but plenty going on to easily spend a good few hours looking around.

Some nice shots there mate.

I did this one with @stranton a few months back and a very unhappy estate agent turned up for a viewing whilst we were in there :lol
With how little they seem to care about securing the grounds and buildings, it’s almost like they want something to happen. I bumped into an older explorer on the second day who thinks they want people to come in and trash it/eventually burn it down, so they can knock it down.

It’s a real shame, lots of interesting things left behind, but it appears the local ferral kids enjoy throwing it all from the top windows.

It's a bit of a mess but it does have some cool parts tucked away, I enjoyed my visit back in the summer.

Bloody hell that has gone down rapid, last time I went the lack of any graffiti and rubbish was incredible to me excluding a hallway here and there

Supposed it wouldn’t last long though, oh well at least the pianos are there, I still need to see them

(Really want to put a report of it up but my photos are crappy, and I am dismal at making good reports as I’ve found with my other ones)
