This place was an unknown to me and was the highlight of the trip. All I know was a nice looking church but it out did that.
This place was awesome and the second stop on our trip.

History -
Stolen from BrianL report as couldnt find anything apart form the same info -

Been really tricky to get mush history on this place and the locals didn't speak much English so hard to get any real info locally either, all I have found is this extract from a small website.

In total, in fact, 381 communes declared disaster by fighting and bombing in WW1. As in most villages of eastern Somme therefore, the church of Estrées-Deniecourt must be raised. This was done ten years after the conflict ended. With the separation of the Church of law and the state passed December 9, 1905, a diocesan cooperative reconstruction is founded in December 1921. His work is immense. In 1930, 211 monuments were rebuilt, fifty other almost-completed. Since the collection of funds, the choice of architect, validate plans and project supervision work, this voluntary organization controls all stages of the re-elevation of the cult buildings
