After seeing a recent report on this place, I figured i'd nip up after a half shift at work as not too far away.
Located along side the canal, This traditional forge was established in 1898 and specialized in forging stainless steel and nickel, Even components for the Titanic. The building closed down in 2005.
Sadly, the building is in an absolute state and anything iv seen left behind in other reports, is now gone. Seems like a hot spot for getting drunk, huffing whipped cream canisters, setting fires and graffiti. Not much to see at all and what is left has been ruined, But i do love the way nature is taking over a lot of the site.
