Report - Mid Wales Hospital, Talgarth - April 2023

My 1st post guys well a Nice sunny day we chose to drive to Talgarth within 5 minutes of arrival sitting having a snack Merv turned up kept driving back & forth but eventually we got a break and we slipped in easily & spent a good 2 1/2 hours inside a lot is a total death trap so chose to take some photos from outside only the chapel photos were taken from a gap in the boarding ,still a few cool places in there but don't know how much longer the rest will survive the manor house seems to be the best kept part as it has more of a roof than the rest ,after a glorious explore we managed to slip out and back to our car without an encounter with Merv he did turn up just as we were pulling away looking a bit puzzled.

That actually was at the back of the Hosptial. The main entrance was technically the original house (3 story one by the hall). You can still see the original driveway just about

Nice one, was here literally last weekend. It's in a proper nasty way I can't lie, one of those that leaves you feeling dirty for having been in. Still better seeing it than not before it gets even worse.

Merv is an absolute nutcase, he drove past me holding up a notepad as if it were a camera (for reasons unbeknown) and the dirty bugger smeared sheep poo inside the open window frame to bait in explorers. Literally spends all day driving up and down a 10 metre road.

He is a lunatic, I remember him pulling up on us a couple years back. He’s literally a BTEC Elwym although Elwym could be nice, Merc is a disgusting cringy little tosser.

He ain't even got MOT on that monstrosity of a vehicle. The care in the community act hasn't gone well has it.

Really is odd that he cares about the ruins. If he’d have cared back in 2008 when the business park folks disappeared with the slate and all the other madness that went on back then it wouldn't look like it does. Heck I remember locals just parking up in the workshop yard and loading doors in to their boot. It was a free for all.

Nah the long time owner sold up last year - Mr Collins - and it was assumed that development would start soon but nothing happening. He seems to be either a landowner nearby - farmer - or possibly the guy who lives in the isolation hospital at top of site who got royally fucked over when the business park went bust.
