Debated on whether this was the right place to post this report but technically it’s an underground stone quarry so il place it here.
History
(Pinched from @Stitch’s report) "The Catacombs of Paris are underground ossuaries in Paris, France, which hold the remains of more than six million people in a small part of the ancient Mines of Paris tunnel network. Located south of the former city gate "Barrière d’Enfer" (Gate of Hell) beneath Rue de la Tombe-Issoire, the ossuary was founded when city officials had two simultaneous problems: a series of cave-ins beginning 1774, and overflowing cemeteries, particularly Saint Innocents. Nightly processions of bones from 1786 to 1788 transferred remains from cemeteries to the reinforced tunnels, and more remains were added during later years. The underground cemetery became a tourist attraction on a small scale from the early 19th century, and has been open to the public on a regular basis since 1874 with surface access from a building at Place Denfert-Rochereau in the extreme southern part of the city of Paris."

Day 1
What can I say other than wow! This place absolutely blew me away.
Richie and I met with OT and ojay at a bar next to gare du Nord to discuss the plan of action. Once we had a route planned we headed to the hotel to check in and get changed, excitement was overwhelming me by this point knowing what was in front me and within minutes of leaving the hotel we were in! first stop was the ram room.
Next stop was la plage, le cellier and Mary rose room. when it comes to spray paint graffiti I’m not a fan especially underground but these room were peppered with artistic graffiti

Next stop was the old brewery and it’s from here the memory gets a little vague due to the jack Daniels, richie was the cameraman and his phone was running on empty so we didn’t get any photos of the brewery tanks but he did have enough battery get a couple of shots of the tunnel where the mine schools students come after graduation to paint their mural on the wall. Heres OT standing next to one

By this time it was 2 in the morning and with over an hours walk to the exit we made our way out and back to the hotel.
Day 2
We woke up went and had some breakfast and got kitted up. Today was the bones, pharmacy shelter, German bunker and a few rooms/bars made by the cataphiles. Today I wanted to be more aware of the route we were taking and to help navigate round which OT kindly let me do. First stop the bones!

Once through we were met with piles and piles of bones, we obviously knew what we were going to see but when you actually see them and the volume of them made me feel a bit uncomfortable. I was assured that the catafiles do not regard it as disrespectful as it their ancestors but it didn’t make me feel any better as I was crawling over them.
