Slim Pickings is a dual detention tank & combined sewer outfall, (cso).
The works 6 interceptor sewer enters via a 2.1 metre brick pipe passes through a penstock & exits via a 1 metre brick pipe,
during excess flow the penstock drops stopping the flow & forming a detention tank behind a high brick wall
once full the water pours across the brick wall & continues along a 1.9 metre, 1/2 mile long concrete pipe
discharging in the Medlock (1 of 2 secondary waterways).
There's a waterway, (accessing via a drop shaft) & an inspection chamber along the route.
