Wow, loving this, you are making me feel very jealous. Think I'm being a numpty to ask, but the pic with the "dry stone walling" is that carefully stacked deads either side or is it "walling" for the tunnel in a fractured section maybe?

I would personally go for they are to lazy to remove the dead’s , I do own a book mining without Timber that talks of this style though Tom
