Myself, two caving friends, Chris and some old exploring pals enjoyed a recent four-day excursion in Paris and France, included two nights in the GRS, a night in a wonderful sand mine outside of the city, where we found around 30 people having a party, with blaring stereo systems, a smoke machine, lights, fireworks and more, and a visit to a stone mine in carrieres sur seine which has unfortunately suffered much fire damage.
The sand mine in a small French village, where we met lots of very happy (and very drunk) young French people (who were also very friendly) They set up tents in the entrance series of the mine, with coloured lights and a smoke machine. It looked incredible... I also recommend a visit to the mine itself.
The GRS
Can’t keep away, it just keeps drawing you back for more...
In one of the flooded passages:
Smoke bombs!
