Report - The North Wales Hospital, Denbigh - February 2015

North Wales Hospital (Denbigh Asylum) was built between 1844 - 1848 for patients with psychiatric illness. At maximum capacity it could hold up to 200 patients. The Hospital closed in sections from 1991 and its final full closure in 1995. The site has fell into some disrepair and Debigh council are in the process of making a compulsive purchase order on the building.

Visited With @GRONK and with no sign of Elwyn we managed to get a good look about, spending most of the day there.

Good shots, been to this place maybe 7-8 times now spent hours there with many different people and still not seen some of the places in your photos. It is a MASSIVE place

I think pic 19 is where they used to carry out lobotomies when they were in their heyday. Epic shots!

I've been there a number of times but i couldn't find the staircase with the red glass. I think it was beautiful and an extraordinary place to spend time.
