Out of all the numerous Belgian houses I visited on my few escapades over the channel 'Villa Heil' as it was called was one of the top ones I wanted to visit. I had tried it a year prior to this but only managed less than a minute inside before being kicked out by the workers in the lawyers office next door - their boss was the owner of the building after all. They were perfectly nice but sent us on our way.
So I came back a year later determined to get it done and early on a Sunday morning when we knew there wouldn't be any lawyers working next door we made it in. The house was demolished about a year later I seem to recall, it's certainly not around now. Inside was weird as parts of it were very heavily decayed yet other areas were solid, there was a real contrast between the two halves of the building.
As is normal with these Belgian homes I'll be buggered if I can find anything in the way of history but it was a lovely place even though it had of course been subjected to the usual continental-style staging of objects.
Thanks for looking
