History

Whitchurch Hospital was mainly focused on general psychiatry but also offered services for the elderly, forensic psychiatry, rehab and addiction. It is a grade II listed building which opened in 1908 and closed down in 2016. In the mid 1980's home care took over so the amount of residents just began to get lower and lower.

Most of the equipment has been stripped out now but many features still stand strong so made for a lovely set of decayed photos. It's not often I bump into people but somehow managed to see 2 different groups inside
