Our Group. Moss Man, Lopez and yours truly, have been to this location previously. It is the campus of a private mental hospital. Patients here are the moneyed and celebrity types that have mental, or substance abuse problems. Security is present and active to protect the patients from commoners like ourselves.
The last time we visited this Private Mental Hospital there where
a couple of buildings we couldn’t get into because of security issues.
One was very ornate and looked quite tempting. On this return trip we hit pay dirt.
1. An outstanding old Dame with the copper clad dormers and
ornate greenhouse styled skylight

We had to crawl into the basement and ended up in a wretched mold room
4. There was a plaque on the door dedicating the mildew and stench to some poor deceased girl.
The whole basement was a disgusting damp mass of mold and mildew. Unfortunately we had to spend a lot more time there than we planned. Just as we where starting up the stairs security came into the building on its rounds.We had to hide in a stinking dark damp corner for about 25mintues until we where sure they where gone.
As is our policy, we immediately headed to the top floor so we could get a view of what was going on outside and to assess any security threats. Upstairs there where a bunch of cool rooms under those copper dormers that I may post some pics on later.
Inside was finished in an ornate Victorian style using high quality materials.
Quite a comparison to the austere State Hospital we would visit later in the day.
Apparently this large building was donated in the memory of a man’s son who died fairly young. .

Judging by the face in the painting the deceased he may have been tormented by mental illness
