I recently found these photos on another hard drive which i had forgotten about. I remember having to go to the Red Cross to collect some equipement and when i went to turn round to drive home i caught a glimpse of an old train . I got out to have a look and took some photos . To be honest i cant recall what part of Bodmin it was i have tried looking and i think it was the Bodmin North train station . I will post the history and hope i have got the right place :) When the Bodmin and Wadebridge railway opened on 4 July 1834, trains could only get as far as a temporary terminus at Dunmere, the station at Bodmin not being opened until 30 September 1834. From 1 November 1886 to 1 November 1895 the station was closed to allow for a realignment of the railway at Dunmere, replacing a level crossing with an overbridge, and complete renewal of the track . The new station had a single platform face containing the station building and a canopy. South of the platform road was a run-round and a third road giving access to a short siding and a cattle dock. In addition a siding left the line in front of the signal box via a double-slip to serve the goods shed. There was also a trailing link to a private siding for the gas works opposite. A 50-foot turntable had been provided before the rebuilding work, and remained connected although usage was low as most passenger trains where operated by tank engines. The station was renamed Bodmin North in 1949 to differentiate it from Bodmin General. Freight facilities were withdrawn on 24 July 1964 although by this time the lines to the cattle dock had already been lifted on 10 May 1964 and those to the Gas Works on 20 February 1964.The station and all facilities closed on 30 January 1967. I looked up one of the trains NO 08444 and it is now used by the Bodmin and Wenford Railway. This was the first diesel to arrive on the Bodmin and wenford Railway delivered in March 1987 from Cardiff Canton . It was originally number D3559 but later became 08444 which is the number it carries at Bodmin. Im sorry about the quality of the photos

Nice report and the history of Bodmin North is correct, but I dont think the pictures are from there as it was demolished and made into a car park. I think you have captured the sidings next to Progress Engineering Ltd https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place...a81fd92015f913b!8m2!3d50.4587745!4d-4.7070807
some of the wagons have been moved but they were still there in 2011 according to https://bestieboy.smugmug.com/Trains/Bodmin/i-RS6hMBd/A https://bestieboy.smugmug.com/Trains/Bodmin/i-nG2PkMH/A https://bestieboy.smugmug.com/Trains/Bodmin/i-b4zb94h/A https://allanjenks.smugmug.com/Other/Bodmin/i-wSK6s8s/A https://allanjenks.smugmug.com/Other/Bodmin/i-4pJvdfq/A and others in his set. The area is known by the railway as Walker Lane Sidings next to an industrial estate

A bit about the industrial estate - Walker Lines, named after Harold Bridgwood Walker, was a Second World War camp built as an extension to the DCLI Barracks. It was used to harbour men evacuated from Dunkirk and later to house troops for the D-Day landings. In the 1950s it was the site of the JSSL. The site is now an industrial estate but still known as 'Walker Lines'.
JSSL = Joint Services School for Linguists DCLI = The Duke of Cornwall’s Light Infantry
