Here some info:
This hospital was opened in 1913. This “Park-hospital“ existed of 60 different buildings in pavilion-style surrounded by a Park. Is was built according plans of Friedrich Ruppel in the period 1910 to 1915 on a area of 15 ha. This hospital could provide 2000 patients a bed. The hospital was self providing in its needs for water, electricity, heating, laundrycleaning, warm meals. So at the plot a watertower, a powergenerator, a laundry and kitchen were built. There was also a laboratory for phatalogy. Today a large part of the former hospital is turned into dwellings. In one of the main buildings a private clinic has found its home. The co-generation power station taken over by a commercial company provides the city with warmth.
