Report - Ballantines Distillery 09/01/2016

[forgotten scotland]

Ballantines tower was built in the 60s and the building was closed down in 2002, several buildings attached to the main tower were demolished but the actual tower was left standing and there doesn't seem to be any plans to convert or demolish it. The tower is the largest standing distillery in Europe but i haven't managed to find its exact height yet. the views speak for themselves but.

yeh some of it was a bit scary, the grated floors were pretty insane at around 80 feet up lol

Good report that mate,one little point im sure one of the mods will point out is about those extra tags in the flickr links,you can edit them out and just use the code in-between the IMG tags

wee update:

plans afoot for building work to start (next year).

All ground floor entrances have been bricked up and now a mobile security camera situated on the wasteland (probably not on atm though?)
