He employed hundreds of people. He declared bankruptcy at the beginning of the 21st century. Today, the huge area is slowly being taken over by nature, but the chemicals left here are a huge threat.
The forgotten fire station is in perfect condition. Nothing has changed here since the firefighters left here a few years ago.
At the beginning of the 21st century, it was decided to expand the refinery. A modern hydrocomplex installation was built for hundreds of millions. At the same time, it was declared bankrupt due to financial problems and the new complex was never put into operation. The facility has remained to this day, towering over the surrounding vegetation like industrial ruins of an ancient civilization in a rain forest.
