Noticed this place a few weeks ago and planned a visit but when I got there a colony of gyppos had moved into the car park.
Went back this morning and they had gone, but left the biggest mess ever and no doubt it was them who trashed the place.
Surprised there is still things there to be honest.
The BP Foinaven field is located 190km west of the Shetland Islands in UK blocks 204/19 and 204/24a and takes its name from the prominent mountain of North West Sutherland.
This must have been some sort of office base for them, sharing part of the building with BOND helicopters.
The offices are huge, mostly stripped but lots of paperwork, etc left over.
Not sure when it closed exactly but I found bank statements from 2002.
