In march I visited a former factory that produced press buttons and knitting needles.

The history:
The enterprise is one of the oldest industrial companies in germany. It was founded in 1530 for the manufacture of brass and copper.
In the 19th century they produced the first finished products made not only of brass, also of steel and iron.
In 2010 the factory closed down, due to financial measures at the headquarter and relocation of production to italy.

The explore:
I visited the factory on a sunny weekday at lunch time.
The access was easy and I got in unseen and very quick. I didn't expect much because it is abandoned since 2010, located in/near the city and I saw some pictures of the location that showed hard vandalism.
I started in the basement of the first building and went up floor by floor.
After about an hour I heard noise (sounded like vandalism) out of the neighbour building or out of the same building i was inside, only one floor lower. Not sure.
That's why I left the location too early. Mad I had only seen one third of the whole complex at this time.
