Cambridge Military Hospital, Aldershot, Hampshire.

First of would like to say hi to all explorers and hope youre all having a great day. :) so recently me and a few friends gained access to Cambridge military hospital and all i have to say is WOW, im so pleased to see that this place hasnt been destroyed by vandals, probably due to being so difficult to get into, but the place is beautiful. The peeling paint and the course of nature taking over really gives it a sort of eery silent hill feeling.

security was a little heavy than i first expected with a 4x4 and guard posts doing patrols every half hr or so but once we found an entrance we were fine as most windows had been boarded up which ment it was safe to use our flashlights.

i wont say much more as i feel im probably boring you already lol, but here are some of the pics i took from our exploration. (Sprry for bad quality, main camera randomly died so had to use phone :(.

my father was born in this hospital in 1972 and it would be an absolute shame to see it demolished or converted into housing. i think that the building should perhaps be restored and turned into a kind of military museum considering it was the first place in the British empire where plastic surgery was used as well as the first place soldiers from the western front went in ww1.

Hi guys, loved looking at your pics of the old Cambridge hospital. My dad was stationed in Aldershot and I had a couple of operations at the Cambridge when I was younger. I just have a question for you that I have never found the answer to, but you may be able to answer. There was always a strong rumour, that I heard often, regarding the hospital and that was that underneath the hospital, I assume in the basement, was another hospital all kitted out and ready to go. This was done, according to the rumour, in case the hospital ever got bombed during the war. Did you find any evidence of this during your trip inside? I also heard that there was a train station underneath too, but I think that, if this was the case, it would have come to light before now. Thanks for the pics. It brought back a few memories.
