1991 closure. This post has gone rapidly downhill since the last visits. The hatch has been chiseled away from the concrete and been smashed with a hammer so you can put your hands under to open the mechanism. Inside is very wet and lots of rubbish has been thrown down. However a lot still remains allbeit damp and mouldy. There was some kind of petrol or oil in the water.. Stunning views all round.
