The crane foundry that remains today is the second foundry built on that site, after the former Swan works was demolished! The second was built in the early 1980's to cast automotive components, and probably supplied to the midland's car plants.
The casting shop has been demolished leaving only the administration block and drawing office.
The building has been ransacked and trashed, but there is some very interesting and hisotrical things to be found like photos, drawings and specs of the foundry itself.
This is the forth foundry of this scale Raddog and I have turned up in a fortnight, the black country founding business is in a bad way indeed...
