Hi all,
This is my first report... so here goes...
Digbeth Institute was originally opened in 1908 and was owned by the Carrs Lane Church. It was regularly used for church groups, various meetings, shows and some exhibitions. It was eventually sold off to the City Council in 1955 as "no longer fit for the purpose it was built".
I did get told by one of the techies that there was apparently some meetings there that the secret services recorded, as some microphones were found hidden, but can't find any real info on this for obvious reasons.
The venue is soon due for a massive refurb so thought I would document the areas that will be lost in this process.
