Touring around SW Scotland with my lady when we drove past a gate behind which some rusty tin roofs were quietly decaying, naturally i just had to throw a U-ey. She wasn't too impressed but as we had no definate plans for the day she agreed to this slight distraction.
I've not done any research on the place other than check it on a map. OS ref; NX 350/594

These clickable links are in reverse order, i'm too lazy to change them.

The large tank with handle is near the small cave to the left of the quarry face , looks like it was used as a hidey hole for the workers, I SO wanted to throw the switches on the big elec box to see if it really did cut off Newton Stewart's power but the boss said she would just leave my smouldering corpse for the crows if anything went wrong.
Not sure what the skull used to be, only about 2 inches long, Baby Predator?

The weighbridge office (Scottish Nazi graffitti) was ankle deep in guano but no pigeons around, must have been out eating crops. I guess the plates on the wall were for heaters.
Pleasant enough hour spent there in seclusion.
