Being born and bred in Kent, I'm quite up to speed with the history amongst us.

Both of us visited the Sound Mirrors in Dungeness in Feb 2022.

They do have open visits throughout the year, however they are accessible without permission. You just won't be able to see the turning bridge.

A Sound Mirror is a passive device used to reflect and focus sound waves.

The 3 concrete "listening ears" at Denge, Kent, are the best known of the various early warning acoustic mirrors built along Britain's coast.

We did also visit the Western Heights in Dover yesterday. I, unfortunately, didn't get many pictures as it was a last minute adventure that we wasn't fully prepped. We are a bit new to this still

We have also checked out DEMSS South, but not figured out how to gain access yet

Any tips & tricks welcome! I understand the Urbex code, if anyone in the Kent area has any inside knowledge and fancies showing us the way a bit, please message us.
