History :-Dunston Hill Community Primary School originally opened on the 12th December 1910, as Dunston Hill Council School for boys and girls. Now, nearly 100 years later the school is moving to brand new premises at Kingsmeadow from September 2008.
In 1919 the school became the boys department of Dunston Hill Council Intermediate School. It was again reorganised in 1928, when the junior boys were transferred to Dunston Council Mixed School, and it became a senior mixed school.
During the First and Second World Wars, a bomb shelter underneath the school served the local community. Then on 25th April 1960 the school moved to new premises in Market Lane and was renamed Dunston Hill Secondary Modern School.
The school was transformed into its current state as Dunston Hill Community Primary School in September 1992.
Amongst the school’s former pupils are ex-Newcastle footballer, Rocky Hudson and AC/DC star, Brian Johnson.

Good report.. had alook around the outside of building few weeks ago.. they have sensors on the buildings and lucky i heard the sensor and whent on my way before security or police came..
