Hey
This report on Eastend House was spread over 2 trips both this weekend and last. Headed down here with kingnothing41. A little out the way but definitely worth it. Had a great time exploring this place and I know this site has been covered a few times on here but thought i’d give you all an update any way
The house was Originally Built around 1500’s, with more wings added in the 1600’s and 1800’s. It is a 37 bedroom stately home and is a listed historic building situated on the Carmicheal estate.
The house was used during the second world war to house members of the polish army.
It was purchased by the Cheif Richard Charmicheal in 1989 and now lies derelict.
The building from the outside looks in reasonably good condition, but its not until you head inside you realise that its deteriorating quite quickly. Many of the ceilings have fallen through and a few rooms are flooded. The noise of flowing/dripping water is really noticable thoughout the building. Also dry rot has been reported.
Anyway i hope you enjoy my report and feel free too check out the rest of my pics on my Photobucket
That floor actually looks like its going to go any minute
