Report - Ensors abattoir - Cinderford - June 2020

One of the first explores post lock down. An easy one that was absolutely trashed.

History
Ensors abattoir started business in 1994 and grew until eventually being bought by Foyle Food Group in around 2013. Around this time they relocated from their old Cinderford Factory to a new site just down the road, leaving this old site which has fallen into a bad state. This is one of those places that has become a bit of a place for the local kids to hang out in. I suppose there isn't much to do in Cinderford when you're 13!


The Explore
A super easy walk in explore that wouldn't otherwise be worth it if there was any sort of challenge getting in. The bonus explore of the old Engelhard Factory next door makes this place worth it as it's a bit of a 2 in 1 explore.

The two sites here are quite a fun explore. There's an old lorry and some other old vehicles next door plus the green slime in the basement of the metal factory.

Yeah it's not a bad area tbh, Engelhards is a very enjoyable if slightly ruined factory. There's also an NHS building very close by too but I've not managed to find a way in yet.

There's also a recently abandoned factory next to this site but it doesn't look too exciting - just a set of old , single storey sheds really.

Visited a few of the sites on the industrial estate today - god damn the place is a bloody mess!

Used to camp in that factory when we were younger. Notices the drains almost Glowed green in the basement. Any idea what it is?
