Eva brothers

been covered just a few times this one but here is my take

Established in 1898 Eva Brothers Ltd was a traditional Forge specialising in the forging of stainless steel, nickel and other alloys. Their Manchester base was known as Crabtree Forge, and was one of the last traditional forge works to remain in the area. The piston con-rods for the Titanic were forged at this site. After the demise of Steam locomotives in the 1960s, traditional work slowed down and the company began focusing on the automotive industry. They made various car equipment, and blanks for forging car parts. In 1960, Eva Brothers changed its name to Eva Industries. The company eventually closed down in 2005

I remember visiting this a few months ago after a year from it, was heartbroken to see it so empty especially that boiler room

I like that second image with the cobbles outside, very atmospheric. The whole site looks interesting but has a sadness around it.

When I visited last year (May) there was a bunch of east europeans stripping the place with stihl saws and everything, they saw me taking photos and came to ask "is there a problem with the metal?" I just told them I was taking photos and made a swift exit after that,

You captured it better than i did as i couldn't relax, are those stamping/hammer machine things still in the bushes or did they have them away as well?

It certainly has changed a lot, I saw the metal thieves as well but know how to handle them.
There is more than I thought there would be though, nicely captured!
And those air hammers in the bushes are awesome

I got a look at them with their truck sawing all the metal, seemed nice enouhj but didn’t want to bother them

The air hammers are still there when I last went a few months ago but they were stripped of anything valuable, only the body was left

I completely missed the steam.hammers but have seen pics, I'll have to go back & hunt for them

Seen way too many local places get torn up or demolished, and fletchers now too? And I swear they’ve been happening all this year too

Its just "progress" I'm.afraid happens a lot everywhere but like yourself local ones down my way that go have more of a personal impact.
There does seem a bit more arson of late though.

Was going to hit this a few weeks ago, but the thought of battling match day traffic to head south afterwards put me right off. If it's been stripped right out, at least I don't need to rush back

Just played spot the difference. Finally spotted it lol. At least it wasnt front and centre
