History (Stolen from LeedsExplorer, who stole and translated from french wiki)
Val-Benoît is an architectural ensemble of modernist style located in Liege, Belgium. It is located on the banks of the Meuse , built between 1930 and 1965 by the University of Liege which occupied the site until 2005.
Despite a partial reallocation of some of its buildings, the site is now abandoned. However, rumour has it around 2015 the site will be redeveloped into homes and business premises.
It was a busy day at the Univeristy, there were at least 4 other groups wandering the halls, most were photgraphing but one group appeared to be moving furniture around!!
Anyway, I tried to steer clear of the vadalism and tagging so my set is a little on the small side.
Visited with Wea5le and some friends from Poland.
Thanks for looking. There are a few more on the website if you're interested.
