Brief History

I like to keep the history brief as there is an abundance of information on this culvert online, a few interesting things about it tho are its an 11mile tributary of the river Derwent, in the early 1930s there was two major floods caused by the brook the second one being so bad that it flooded the local town, following these floods the local council organised the construction of two flood relief culverts to prevent minimise the risk of the floods repeating in the future.

The Explore

Met up one evening with @MotionlessMike for this one who showed me round as its local to him, its was a bit risky as there was rain predicted for later in the night, but we decided to make sure we where out before then.
its an interesting culvert with a few nice photogenic features and a straight that seems endless..
planning on coming back here in the day time when theres more time and hopefully have a look at some other fun Derby puddles

Looks like a Georgia O'Keeffe painting, if you know what I mean :brew
For anyone who doesn't get that, let your mind fall into the gutter (or culvert as it may be)
