After putting up with Jackals rants about how good Dover was I thought I had better go and see what all the fuss was about. Thinking that the only good part of Dover was the ferry out I have to say that I have changed my mind and had I realised what was here, would stopped before now.
Visited with the 'glovesharers' Monk and Jackal with Mini Monk, and met Nik24, Ali23 and Siliconewombat was good to meet you and cheers for the hospitality.
Visited 4 deep shelters, 2 magazines, a plotting room and the Detached Bastion. So heres a few images.
St Martins Deep Shelter
WW2 tunnels
and Napoleonic entrance
WW2 battery built on top of the Napoleonic battery.
Detached Bastion, possibly the best part of the day, a Napoleonic fort set on its own Island formed by moats.
South Foreland Deep Shelters.
South Foreland Plotting Room
and magazine with shell racks still in place.
And finally the Zed Rocket Deep Shelter
