Godstone mines
I know there are a few mine systems there and I'm unsure what one this was, someone on here may know?
It seams like it's still being worked
I visited with a friend one Saturday afternoon after a little research online i found rough location
It took us a while to find an entrance, but after about half hour searching we found wooden shack on the hill side with a manhole cover inside
Once removed it revealed the ladders to access the mines
At this point my pal backed so I was on my own to go down and he waited up top
I'm sorry picture quailty is not great I only had my iPhone with me at the time

I didn't want to go in to far on my own, just incase. Am planning on visiting again with more people
