Report - Hamilton Lodge, Colchester - May 2023

The Hamilton Lodge is one of my favourite finds so far, was actually quite a mission to get into I had to crawl through a dense forest for a while before so got to the site but it was well worth it, The buildings there are beautiful and the oldest one is huge, I highly recommend this to anyone new to Urbex and Abandoned Exploration as once you get to the building it’s easy to get in the door is wide open, HOWEVER, there are police motion detectors EVERYWHERE I was there for about 2 hours exploring and wasn’t caught or confronted by anyone, place seemed completely empty with no security.

i went about a month before this they still got the diggers and site office up front?

There was a fire on Friday just gone, odd after I reported different species of bats, orchids and lizards. I have been told that there was a building dedicated to PoW or WW2 soldiers, does anyone know please?
