After finding that Fulham Wharf and Bolingbroke Hospital had people on site, me and Serenity headed on over to Heygate Estate at Elephant and Castle.
It is completely abandoned apart from two people who stubbornly refuse to leave, and have made some sort of community garden which was rather boho and kool.
Anyways, pretty much everything is welded shut tight, so wasn't able to get into any of the rooms. Like serenity said, met some skateboarder dude there, who turned out to be very helpful (I'm rather short so he helped me climb over things).
Although this estate was known to be notorious, these people did get an awesome view! Not that there is any correlation...
The Heygate Estate was constructed to be a modern living enviornment, with everything connected via walkways so that residents didn't need to use the pavements or roads. Intended as a community development it ended up being notorious for crime, and poverty. It is in the process of being demolished, but due to the large amount of asbestos, it's been halted the process.
Anyways here are a few pictures!
