Another visit to this Jute Mill hidden away in Angus.
I actually think someone is living here, or has been... clothes are hanging up in one of the offices and found a rucksack with sleeping bag :eek:

It's like everything has been ditched seemingly in mid-shift.
Rolls of jute lay all around and machines remain parked as if their operators just popped out for a cup of tea! :D

Looks like a great find, and good photos to boot. I may combine a visit to it with a trip to a local butchers to buy a fine Angus steak. I take it this is the area where I'd find a worthy specimen?

Possibly, but you'll definitely come across some haggis tottering around.

those fork lifts and machines must be worth something! :eek:

Hi, what is that FLCB machine? In my last job i used to operate an FLCB manual lathe. It was specially built to turn spheres. In our case it was used to turn ball valve balls for the oil industry.

Here it is.

And here is the finished product. I'm 5' 8" and the top gearchange wheel on the left is my head height. That particular ball weighs about 4 1/2 tons.
