Arguably the most mysterious post in existence...
the sub-brit report shows a mint post visited originally in 2002. There is a footnote to the report saying the hatch was filled with soil...
hmmm, I deemed it worthy of a visit as it could have been a ruse to keep away trophy hunters.
Well, they were not wrong...

Another curious feature 6 feet away...
the top of the curious feature... Inscribed with the words 'Ordnance survey triangulation station' Looked at a 1950's ordnance survey map of the area I purchased from ebay and it had a high point marker exactly in the spot where this triangulation station stood.
All in all, a strange end to a ROC post. Looked like it had been filled in recently although there was a modern power plug right at the top of the shaft. The round 3 pin type used in industry. very odd why someone destroyed this post and recently too.
