1991 Closure

I stopped at this post last month but honestly though I had lost the photos. Looking through my memory cards last night I found them ;)

This post is seriously sealed, it has about 20 tons of earth on top of the hatch which according to Subbrit is also sealed shut with a metal plate. The post itself is on public land so this is probably why the post is so well sealed.

Not to let that stop me, I dug out the FSM pipe and got to work on the extremely rusty nuts and bolts. This was a battle as the whole thing was rusted into a lump. Inside the post looks trashed but a couple of interesting things remain. Graf from 1998 means the post hadn't been sealed long when Nick Catford visited and if you look in the Subbrit report, you can see the dexion shelves shown on there have now been pushed over. Obviously the local kids got inside before it was sealed 11 years ago. It's also quite rare to see bunks still in a 1991 closure.

I think these are the only pictures from inside the post in the last 11 years thanks to Elvis and his continuing dedication to mongy ROC Posts :thumb

Finally some Graf from 1998, these people are probably now insurance salespeople or in prison.
