Keybridge

Ex-BT building in the heart of Vauxhall. Views weren't too bad, but personally the building itself was far more interesting.Concrete chimneys and weird cladding. Brutalist at it's best.
One of my favourite looking buildings.

Keybridge House was designed by GW Mills and Associates for the Post Office in 1975 and built on the site of the old Brand's fishpaste factory. BT took over at some point and now it's being taken down 41 years later to be replaced by something less interesting and plain ugly. In it's later life it experienced a time of neglect and the windows were dirty, it was falling apart and locals called upon change.
"In the heart of London’s regenerated Vauxhall, a new future is rising. At its centre stands Keybridge, a stunning fusion of the capital’s mansion blocks with elements of Manhattan architecture, all brought to life in Britain’s soon to be, tallest brick tower. It’s anotherbold and ambitious developmentby Mount Anvil and FABRICA destined to become the standout landmark in the capital’s most exciting new neighbourhood." Whatever...

Great shot of Vauxhall Sky Gardens.

May I ask what camera and tripod you used to take these shots Slayaaa?

Omg so close to where I live . Since I was in primary school each time I've passed by this building I was always do mesmerised by it because of abandoned it looked. Was this an easy climb ? Finally I must get my ass up there!

I worked in the this building between Sept 1999 and Oct 2010.... did you have a good look round the inside? There were some epic parts to the building, particularly on the Ground floor and basement of the podium side!! If you have any pictures i'd love to see them!!

The reason we initially went was to get in side rather than on top and see if anything was left of what it used to be but unfortunately it'd already been munched away by a digger and stripped. We tried 2 years ago but was way too ewrly. Suppose we should've tried again another time in between but just forgot about it really.
