Another early outing for us on what turned out to be the first frost and an absolutely splendid, clear blue Autumn day.
As most of you are probably aware, this has been done a few times recently and taking that lead, we decided to have a go.
On entering the site we clocked the security, however thanks to general ninja stealth he didn’t reciprocate the clocking. Fairly painless (apart from my knees) entry and straight into the thick of the massive corridor porn that this place exudes.
We spent around 4 hours exploring and getting lost, re-lost, running into georgie, kevsy21 & WIMR (hullo chaps) figuring out the two halls were actually on top of eachother... (what an epiphany that was) and of course the infamous poo stepping incident witnessed by all. As an aside, whoever dropped logs in the morgue - Shame on you, dirty fuckers.
As displayed by previous photographic reports of Kingsway there are very few physical details left in the hospital on the whole and is very stripped after closure around a year ago. However, the spaces left are beautiful and very much worth the time to explore the entire hospital. Also, it has more assisted baths than you can shake a loofah at.
