Report - Kirkheaton Mill, Nr Huddersfield

Nice old stone built mill circa 1873. The mill manufactured cotton and cloth for 130 years before closing in 2004. Inside much remains, and the building has had little in the way of vandalism. It has also not been greatly modernised, and wooden floors, stone walls and original fixtures and fittings are everywhere.
The mill's safe and records room are simply amazing, and full of history going way back. Share certificates, ledgers and photos all still remian covered in dust on the shelves!
